Horrifying video shows crowds watching a 15-year-old girl tumbling from a Guatemalan rooftop — after she was decapitated by a power line while dancing and taking selfies with friends.

Débora Rebeca Xi Artola, 15, was seen on the roof in La Tinta last Thursday with three friends, at least one of whom was snapping pictures, El Heraldo said of a video taken by concerned locals.

The group was practicing dance moves on top of the two-story building when Artola hit the high-tension power cable, with the shock of thousands of volts likely killing her instantly, the outlet said.

Other footage filmed from down below shows horrified onlookers rushing toward the building as the girl’s body initially rested on the cable, surrounded by smoke.

Distressingly, they watched as her head snapped off, sending her plummeting around 20 feet to the pavement below.

Débora Rebeca’s heartbroken mother, Andrea Xi, shared a tribute to her daughter on Facebook that included a portrait of the beaming girl during her quinceañera in March.

“I love you forever. My princess,” one of the posts read

  1. Here we go again. The amount of terrible things I hear coming out of this country is just astonishing.

  2. @Shameful Government. What other terrible things do you hear coming out of Guatemala that astonishes you?

  3. The utility company has poor infrastructure and standards, because that power line been on top or close to a private property should have been made secure or elevated by at least 10 ft above the roof start from medium voltage level to higher elevation as voltage increases, but this is what poverty and mis government do, that electricity manager should resign now or be fired.
