Instances of youth violence persist without respite as a group of young individuals find themselves in need of medical treatment for injuries, including a collapsed lung resulting from an altercation at a shopping center.
According to sources, this incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 28, near Friars Hill Road. A police constable alerted his colleagues at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) about a brawl involving several underage individuals near the Cost Pro Supermarket at Woods Centre. Allegedly, one of the minors sustained a stab wound to his back during the altercation.
Consequently, multiple officers proceeded to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre. There, the constable encountered a 15-year-old resident of Fort Road in the vicinity of Woods Centre, who displayed two visible stab wounds on the left side of his back and a laceration on his left hand. The teenager was unable to provide details about the incident. However, after receiving stabilization from Emergency Medical Technicians, he was transported to the Emergency Room via the Emergency Medical Service.
Hospital doctors reported that the teenager had experienced a collapsed left lung and was being prepared for surgery.
Following the incident, the police interviewed a 17-year-old resident of Bathlodge in the presence of his father at the hospital. Allegedly, he confessed to stabbing the Fort Road teenager while defending his sister.
According to reports, the stabbing victim, along with two other boys, had thrown stones at the accused and his 15-year-old sister as they were leaving the Caribbean Cinemas compound. However, a physical altercation ensued when they reached Woods Mall, resulting in the 15-year-old being stabbed after purportedly striking the older teenager with a 2 x 4 wooden plank.
Consequently, the 17-year-old sustained lacerations on his left hand and left shoulder, which exhibited visible swelling. His sister also sustained a laceration on her left wrist.
All three teenagers were provided with police medical forms, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Editor. Please check if it’s not 12:30 pm.
ITS 7PM. DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR KIDS ARE?
This is exactly what I am saying. These parents full of crap. So as a parent you not going to say no late movie and be back home by a certain time because school in the morning. I will continue to say the law need to hold these parents accountable for the foolish parenting.
I could not agree more. Ladies if you want to go lie down with a man, ensure it does not result in a baby that you don’t want, and can’t afford. These are the consequences of unwanted children that are literally raising themselves. Hold the parent equally accountable.
I suspect all this is a result of them being given the vaccine..that POISON.
What does that have to do with anything? And how do you know whether they’ve taken the vaccine or not?
Lock all of them up including the parents!! @ . Please just shut up!!
You’re an ass
mmmmm well he cause this on himself lucky he lungs never puncture, because if it was Me I would defend my sister too if somebody attack her he’s lucky he’s alive mmmm hope he learn his lesson not to interfere with others.
I can only imagine what they would have done to his sister if he wasn’t there. Whatever you have to do to protect your sibling, used it with caution. Parents teach their children not to go around interfering with other people.
They have now 15 grams and 4 trees and that is a lot of weed , young people will always go to the extreme that is their psychological thought process so what we are seeing in some populations is early use and abuse , behavioral and mental health concerns in some groups that are vulnerable and some deviant behaviors are quite obvious in our schools and in our society to compound this is the stressors in the homes especially in low socio economic homes where things are tough with dysfunctional parents so let start with the families and see what changes can be made there .
