15 In State Quarantine, No New Cases Of COVID-19

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Mount St. John’s Medical Center (MSJMC) has revealed no new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Monday 14th September 2020 at 6pm.

Subsequent to the publication of the dashboard on Monday 14th September 2020 with the cut off time of 6pm, forty samples were processed at the Mount St. John’s Medical Center’s Laboratory which increased the pending results from zero to forty.

All forty samples yielded negative results and are reflected in the total samples taken and total tested columns of the dashboard.

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda remains at ninety-five with one active case.

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. Excellent news Caricom travel bubble begins on Friday.
    Presumably Antigua will need to increase local testing to gauge nationals & residents traveling through regional international airports & spending time in bubble communities, and possibly with USA & UK tourists while in a bubble country.
    However, it’s more likely that bubble countries keep caricom testing low to ensure their country stays within the caricom bubble covid cases per 1000 parameters so allowing easier movement.
