I have to wonder if they are doing proper checks when tourist come here and not just with temperature guns,or some of test results are inaccurate that is presented from their countries. They keep talking about imported and non imported cases but tourist that could have the virus could mingle with hotel staff, the staffs go home to their families and it could spread. The country is open for business you will expect rising cases. Are they doing more checks now the country is open in comparison to when the country was closed thats why they are encountering more cases? Do the persons that have covid are the symptoms mild or severe. It seems like a high percentage of people is asymptomatic, over these past months i have not seen the effect on covid in regards to pack hospital and deaths in comparison to greater countries, neither do i desire to see that. The officials say they are doing a good job sceening to prevent community spread
No of course they are not doing proper checks.
People have been talking about this for months.
A negative test from 7 days prior means almost nothing. They could have been exposed after the test or even before the test but it was too soon for a positive result or the test could be a false negative or very likely many of these certificates are simply forgeries.
In the US, it’s not that easy to get test results back in 7 days in many cases.
What do you think tourists will do? They are not going to lose thousands of dollars by cancelling their trip. No they’ll just print off a fake negative test letter and go.
The only way to protect Antigua with the borders open was to test and quarantine everyone who enters. The gov decided not to do that and this is the result.
But I’m sure there are many more than 15 cases around.
Checks in place for we the residents but none for the tourists.
Nothing but unconstitutional.
Remove the cancer from office.
Yes remove them and put who exactly again? Not culess Harold Lovell aka Mr IMF? Not Single Pringle aka Mr Cant Even Speak Proper English? Not the former minister of Health Wilmonth Daniel who never show up for work. If they were still in power we would have been worster off?
It sad when people love to get advantage and sell their birth right for a few pieces of silver, they dont realize their leaders are about enriching them selves, the pandemic expose the greedy luciferan spirits in the midst. . Death is inevitable the fool and his riches shall path.
