14-year-old Girl Stabbed, police search for 29-year-old suspect

Roshawn Martin, 19, was attacked by two masked assailants in All Saints. He is in stable condition at Sir Lester Bird Medical Center after being stabbed in the back and robbed of his iPhone.

A 14-year-old girl is recovering from a stab wound to her back following an alleged attack by a 29-year-old man from Bethesda in Lightfoot.

The man reportedly visited a home where his daughter lives with a guardian but became agitated upon finding his daughter was not there, as the guardian had gone to pick her up from school.

During the incident, he allegedly stabbed the teenager, who was alone at the time. She was taken to the hospital, and her injury is not life-threatening. Police are searching for the suspect as investigations continue.

  2. Curfew won’t stop criminals behavior.. Tge stabbing of the 14 year old has nothing to do with the curfew but the curfew is going to cause mental issues which the system is not equipped to handle.

  8. Sad the mother couldn’t or didn’t take the children with her when she fled. This is one example of why it is dangerous to assume that having a father around is always a good thing. If he can’t treat the woman properly, he can’t be trusted around the children either.

  9. What could’ve been the direct cause of him taking his anger on the teen girl? What role does she play in them keeping the child away from him? Or are they keeping the child from him?

  10. Every part of this story sounds crazy. Then clearly this man is mentally off. What triggered you that much to stabbing a teen? Cause it couldn’t just be after hearing that they went to collect your child from school.

  11. Now, he would not see his daughter because he would be in 1735 for attempted murder. Young people, especially young men, need help in dealing with conflict. If he had cared for his daughter, he would have thought twice, walked away to cool off and returned the next day.
