(Dashboard Update for September 12, 2021)
The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment from the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) revealed one hundred and thirty- one(131) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday 9th September 2021 at 6pm.
One hundred and sixty-four (164) samples were processed at Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre and two hundred and thirty-two (232) at CARPHA.
Forty-six (46) recovered cases were recorded increasing the total to one thousand five hundred and fourteen (1514).
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is two thousand two hundred and ninety-seven (2297); which is inclusive of seven hundred and thirty-five (735) active cases. There are forty-two (42) hospitalized cases; twenty-one (21) mild, eleven (11) moderate and ten (10) severe.
Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated thirty five thousand seven hundred and nine (35,709) individuals while seven thousand nine hundred and seventy-two (7,972) have only received their first dose.
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

Where are these cases coming from ????
Alpha, Beta and Delta varient which is wayyyyyyy more contagious or don’t u watch the news?
Flu type A and B..do you not understand the game??? everything with fever,nausea and whatever….is classify as COVID…
Curfew, and the other restrictions don’t make no sense since the cases rising so fast then…

The official funeral,wedding and the hotel could have cause these increase in cases but they won’t say
What about the weekly beach parties and lower Market Street by Papa Bird bust on a Friday but we won’t say right?

A lot of people do not believe in covid so they do not get tested and dismiss it as another illness. I wonder how many untested have covid and what the real numbers really would be ? 4000 total?
We will never know because people are now complaining that testing and being tested are infringing on their rights……What are people going to come up with next?

Just a drop in the bucket when it comes to what’s really happening. In the last week I went from not knowing a single person who had been infected to knowing of 10. All the people I know of and the infected members of their families are not on the dashboard. They authorities need to include a spot for rapid antigen test outcomes if they truly intend to provide useful and realistic information to the public.
Do people realize that Delta is much, MUCH more contagious than the original version of the virus? You can’t do what you were doing before and think that it is enough.
