13 new cases of COVID-19 in Antigua and Barbuda

The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment revealed thirteen (13) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday 10th December 2021 at 6pm.

 

Two hundred and forty-two (242) samples were processed.

 

Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is four thousand one hundred and seventy-five (4,175); which is inclusive of twenty-five(26) active cases.

 

There are no hospitalized cases.

 

Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated fifty seven thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight (57,888) individuals while four thousand and thirty-three (4,033) have only received their first dose.

 

The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

  1. The ministry of health should think about adding the number of people suffering from long COVID in Antigua to the dashboard. That’s the true measure of the impact of this disease. If we keep having waves of COVID, we will eventually have a sizeable population of chronically sick people of working age.
