The mother of the young boy who was who was struck down in a hit and run accident today has called on the nation to pray for her son.
She made the tearful appeal on social media while sharing an image of the boy being treated.
The 12 year old JT Ambrose School Student is the latest victim of a hit and run.
Shortly after 8am the student along with his siblings were walking to school on Jonas Road, All Saints in the vicinity of CMM Neighborhood Supermarket when he was hit by a white jeep with rental plates.
The driver did not stop as loud screams from the youth alerted individuals in the area.
The extent of the student’s injuries is unknown at this time, he was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.
A driver was able to record the perpetrator’s license plate and turned the information over to the police. (STATE MEDIA)

Well, after law enforcement/justice system didn’t charge the driver that hit the medical students for leaving the scene, now all the other drivers have no reason to think they have to stop after hitting someone.
A damn shit hole country Antigua has become.
Exactly my thoughts @ Madness, because the previous hit and run cases wasn’t dealt with appropriately, I believe we’ll see a lot more of these incidents.
Here’s hoping that this young man makes a full recovery and the driver is found and then incarcerated.
The Courts need to throw the books at all drivers who do hit and runs. Regardless of that person and or whom he or say are related to. This is getting out of hand. This is the 3rd one in the past 2 months,Friars Hill Road,Creek Side and now Jonas Road.
So I realize the driver is a POS for running off but is no one going to comment on how bad the roads are here with no sidewalks for pedestrians safety? Especially driving at night without street lights.
