The most recent report received by the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment revealed eleven (11) new laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda as of Friday 17th December 2021 at 6pm.
Three hundred and sixty-four (364) samples were processed.
Two (2) recovered cases were recorded.
Consequently, the total number of persons with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 cases in Antigua and Barbuda is four thousand one hundred and ninety-eight (4,198); which is inclusive of forty-two (42) active cases.
There are no hospitalized cases.
Meanwhile, Antigua and Barbuda has fully vaccinated fifty seven thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight (57,888) individuals while four thousand and thirty-three (4,033) have only received their first dose.
The dashboard has been updated to reflect these changes.

The Danes are now publishing EXTREMELY DETAILED daily data about Covid cases and hospitalisations – not just about Omicron, but all Covid variants.
And, in news that will not surprise any CRITICAL THINKERS who have been awake in the last two years, the Danes paint a picture entirely different than what the main stream media tells us.
OMICRON – which continues to appear significantly less dangerous, though more transmissible than earlier variants of Covid – HAS BEEN USED AS A COVER-UP FOR THE FAILURES OF THE VACCINES.
Sadly, most of the new cases in Denmark occur in people partially vaccinated, fully vaccinated or boosted, also including Omicron and earlier variants. More than 76% of non-Omicron Covid in Denmark are now in vaccinated people, along with about 90% of Omicron infections. Furthermore, only 25 of the 561 people currently hospitalised for Covid have the Omicron variant.

Stop printing this dangerous misinformation. As more people in a country are vaccinated, the number of breakthrough cases who arevaccinated will also increase. Simple.
The entire world scientific community agrees vaccines work. One of many statistics-in the USA the risk on contracting covid is 5x higher in unvaccinated, and risk of death 13x higher, from today’s NY Times. Conspiracy theories are dangerous to all of us.
The real issue on Antigua is whether we are seeing the start of the omicron wave. We should expect the spread to be extremely rapid if it is, which means more hospitalizations from the sheer numbers of infected. The government will refuse to lockdown, which means we should expect even greater stress on our health systems.

If the fully vaccinated have followed all the vaccinated mandates and protocols; and the current vaccines are suppose to be working – what’s going wrong?
