Nearly two years after the promised September 2022 delivery date for the 3 million gallon-per-day Bethesda Water Plant, “granny still cyan bade” as Robin Yearwood would say.

While Gaston Browne holds 10th Anniversary celebrations, we still, in 2024, have an unreliable and inadequate water supply.

Both the Prime Minister and the Utilities Minister, Melford Nicholas, refuse to give our people straight answers on why the Government has failed to fix the water issue.

– What happened to their ambitious plans to replace the leaking pipes, which they claim waste 30% of all water produced?

– Where is the Barbadian company Innotech, that Gaston Browne was boasting about, which has machines that can scan the ground to detect leaking pipes?

– Where is the Bethesda Water Plant that cost the taxpayers $37.8 million? Why is it still not operational?

– Why is the Government getting into a water production deal with Seven Seas Water Group, while seemingly abandoning the Bethesda Plant, which APUA would fully own?

– Where can the public get copies of the Bethesda Plant Purchase Agreement and the Seven Seas Water Group BOOT Agreement? Without full transparency on these arrangements, how can our people be assured we are not becoming the victims of another creative enrichment scheme?

Answering these questions is what Gaston Browne and Melford Nicholas need to attend to; not celebrating successes that only exist in the Prime Minister’s dreams.

  1. “Both the Prime Minister and the Utilities Minister, Melford Nicholas, refuse to give our people straight answers on why the Government has failed to fix the water issue” its a conflict of interest and big money for them that’s why. They have water trucks on the road πŸ™„

  3. Y’all better wake up and smell the NWO/
Great Reset/Agenda2030/2050/ WEF plans for the plebs. The WEF has already made it clear that water is not a human right — and the plan is to privatize all water. “You will own nothing but you’ll be happy” — WEF.
(An aside: do y’all know that Palestinians cannot collect rain water because Israel claims ownership of the rain)?
If you want to know what is coming to the Caribbean start paying attention to what’s happening around the world. There is a reason why the government ministers are becoming farmers while simultaneously taking away farms. Control the food control the people! This is how they are going to prevent you from revolting against them. Think these things are conspiracy theories? Look at what has been happening to farmers in the Netherlands and other countries. It will not happen all at once but it’s already happening.
Many more countries have signed on for membership in the BRICS.
Saudis Arabia will be selling its oil in multiple currencies….not just US $.
