Ten primary school students will benefit from the Kiwanis Club of St. John’s Antigua annual Everett Lake Scholarship Fund this year.
This needs-based programme will provide each beneficiary with $500.00 worth of school supplies.
The scholarship is intended for children whose parents/guardians are experiencing financial hardship and are unable to afford essential necessities for their children throughout the school year.

The Scholarship program which was inaugurated in 2017 was the highlight of the Club’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
Based on the feedback and the positive impact for the recipients, the Club has decided to make the event an annual one. The deadline for submission of applications is August 11, 2021.
At this time, the Everett Lake Scholarship is for primary school students, only. It is hoped that the scholarship programme will be expanded to Secondary School students depending on the availability of resources.
Proceeds from fundraising projects inclusive of the club’s annual High Tea at the Dockyard, go towards the Scholarship initiative alongside other Community Projects.
