10

Inter Caribbean Flight 713 faced an emergency today after an apparent engine issue shortly after departing Douglas-Charles Airport in Dominica for Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados at 1:13 pm.

Passengers reported strange engine soounds post-takeoff, prompting the pilot to return to Douglas-Charles.

Flight tracking data shows loops east of Dominica before landing safely.

The cause and extent of the issue are unknown, pending official confirmation. All passengers are safe, evacuated upon landing.

Inter Caribbean Airlines has not yet commented.

This follows a similar incident four weeks ago at V.C Bird International Airport.

  1. I am not surprised. I made a comment about this airline yesterday when it was published that Sailing Week had teamed up with them for the Reggae Show. I said then that this airline was always late or flights cancelled. Now 2 mechanical issues. Does that tell you something about their maintenance and upkeep? Answer for yourself.

  2. I believe that once you’ve flown with this airline you will have some issue. I have had issues with them every time. Thankfully all passengers are safe.

  3. Does not inspire confidence. It does not seem like a good time for inter-island air travel?

Things happen ….wow what a comment
Kudos to the pilots for navigating the craft back to safe ground. I would say staff, but the hostesses have never been pleasant ( my experience ). ATC, similarly would have had a role in this, so thank you. And thanks also to the emergency teams on standby.
As for intercaribbean airlines, my heart can’t take the anxiety ( operational or mechanical ) and in as much as there are checks and balances, I rather stay on land and starve than go on another trip booked with you company.

  4. They need to shut tf down the worse airline ever…they did me dirty when I travel last year with my 6 month old baby, but thank God we made safe and those people on the flight also

  5. I’m traveled with them last week Sunday from Antigua and they were untime in taking off and arrival to Destination was 10 min before scheduled.
I pray the sort out all their issues and be back in air efficiently. We need more good airlines
