Youth Townhall to Foster Dialogue, Innovation and Youth Empowerment in St. Philip’s North

4

The Glanvilles Community Centre will come alive with youth-driven dialogue and civic engagement on Saturday 24th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., as young people, community leaders, and organizations gather for a Youth Townhall aimed at empowering voices and shaping solutions for the future.

The Townhall is being organized by Youth Parliamentarian and Youth Representative for St. Phillips North Jawan Jackson, alongside fellow youth parliamentarian Jayden Martin, both of whom are committed to creating inclusive spaces where young people can engage meaningfully with institutions, organizations, and decision-makers on issues that directly affect their lives and communities.

Designed as more than a symbolic conversation, the Youth Townhall seeks to function as a practical, solution-oriented platform that encourages collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility. The initiative is rooted in the belief that young people are not merely future leaders, but present-day contributors to national and community development.

The Townhall is intended to ensure youth voices are heard at the decision-making stage, not after outcomes are already determined.

The event will feature special guest participants Shaquan O’Neil and Donte Walter, whose involvement is expected to further enrich the discussions and provide valuable perspectives on youth leadership, civic engagement, and regional and international youth representation.

Attendees can expect open and engaging discussions centered on youth development, community challenges, opportunities for collaboration, and pathways for sustained youth involvement. The Townhall also presents a unique opportunity for youth organizations and community groups to increase visibility, attract new members, share resources, and explore partnerships on projects that align with youth empowerment and community advancement.

The choice of the Glanvilles Community Centre underscores the importance of meeting young people within their communities and ensuring access to civic spaces where dialogue and participation are encouraged.

The Youth Townhall is open to ALL young people, youth organizations, community leaders, and members of the wider public who are interested in contributing to constructive dialogue and collaborative solutions.

As Antigua and Barbuda continues to emphasize youth development and leadership, initiatives such as this Townhall serve as a timely reminder that youth voices are not only valuable, they are essential to shaping a resilient and inclusive future.

  1. Hello.
    Stop your shit!
Just tell us it is a labour party organized event.
Dont come and play holy and say it is a youth event and identify organizers.
Aren’t the two yough parliamentarians labour selectees?
Who do they represent at every and all times?
So why the fear in identifying them?
Just stop the hypocrisy and tell us who they and and the reason they are being used to organize this gathering.
It is all intended to measure the progress of any of Baltimore in the constituency.
Even up to today Gaston still doesn’t have much faith in him.

  2. Does these young men know robin yearwood has averted Amy future youth empowerment or entrepreneurship? He has taken all the coastal lands by the sea and fenced in the village both he and his white race, I could remember a young man wanting to put a small restaurant at devils bridge area and he denied the years ago because he knew he had those lands for himself.
Up this way should have a fisheries complex for the fisher folks in the area to ply their trade, but I guess you all are sent by Gaston to create this feel good moment among the youths who doesn’t understand economics and politics.
