37

Tianzhao ‘Alex’ Feng, the supermarket arsonist, has been released early from prison, but his whereabouts remain unknown.

Feng, a Chinese national, admitted guilt for setting fire to the XPZ store in June 2021, causing extensive damage and job losses.

While Feng was sentenced in March, his early release surprised his attorney, raising safety concerns.

According to reports he was picked up by immigration.

Feng’s passport had been confiscated upon his arrival, and his lawyer planned to seek asylum for him, highlighting his victimization as a human trafficking survivor.

  1. If this young man was taken out of our Prison just like that and done away with, then all Antiguans should rise up in strong protest. Not mainly because he is a Chinese man who did something wrong, but because of the lack of respect for us as citizens, that they could just lift out this young man, just like that?

This is craziness. What the hell is happening in this country? Cutie Benjamin, are you going mad? Are you so drunk with power that you feel you could do anything you feel like and we would just talk and then move on? This is out of control.

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS COUNTRY COMING TO?

People, it is time to wake up and start to protest. Cutie and Gaston are not the law. It is time to show them that. We have to know what happened to Alex.

    • Smh in this country.. I strongly Wonder if the citizen of Antigua and Barbuda knows that we are the government we have the first and the last say. The thing is we elect these people to do a job and if they’re not doing their jobs it’s up to us to take over and do what we have to do by getting rid of them and putting people who can do the job to their best ability. Too much has been happening in this country and we just sit back and watch and do nothing.. it’s time enough we stand as one and take back our country from these political fools and put our small island back and track. For far too long we have been suffering in this place our young people are getting more more violent. our children are going missing.and bodies are washing up like water in this country and we just sit back and do nothing. Come on my fellow antigens let’s rise up against these crimes and set ourselves back on track..

  2. I’ll bet my last pay check that the Chinese have him. You will never hear or see him again. The piper has called a tune.

  3. The man need to settle down with a nice Antiguan chick
    make some Blasian babies
    expand the bloodline
babies with chiney eyes, black skin and curly hair

  4. The Chinese government has overseas police stations in New York and Canada masquerading as consulates.

  5. According to his(Alex) lawyer, he “planned to seek asylum for him highlighting his victimisation as a human trafficking survivor.”
A “human trafficking survivor.” These are serious allegations, by a member of the legal fraternity/judiciary.

A…what proof(s), do the lawyer have of human trafficking?
B…will he submit such proof(s), to law enforcement?
C…if, the attorney is aware of such, it’s suffice to allege, that law enforcement(s) are also aware. The question begs, why aren’t they doing what’s necessary to curtail these WHITE COLLAR CRIMINALS?

We complain and are worried about gun, weed, spliff, cutlass, rum tooting youths and their CRIME SPEES, and rightly so, but ALL CRIMINALS MUST be investigated and dealt with, since, HUMAN TRAFFICKING has many ORDERS, especially, those whose members are well educated and hobnob in the purported upper echelon of, our Society sipping the Don, nibbling on “fluffed tits” and caviar.

  6. See if he up by the WADADLI POWER CAN’T dat Lovell purchased from his people

“The engines are NEW” at the blood-in-hotel-lobby press conference

    • At the Plant where Gaston said that the Generators are NEW and somebody was making him an offer to say that they were not? I wouldn’t be surprised if this is State Sponsored kidnapping. Hope he doesn’t disappear indefinitely or end up like Nigel Christian and a few others.

      • Don’t confuse the Wilmoth Daniel STRIPPER POLE BUS letter sent to Baldwin Spencer saying a UPP minister tried to bribe him. School children say it was the “turtle”

  7. His constituents must have suddenly gone deaf.

    • Maybe the MP working hard to fulfill his mama dying wish: for him to take a bride and settle down

  8. Why wasn’t his attorney told that his client would be released?
    Something smells fishy here!!!

      • I’m asking the powers that be why?
        His attorney was not notified
His attorney claims he did not know about his client being released. Duh!!

    • ebrybadee a say da same thing.

And, how Alex didnt have the opportunity to contact his attorney upon release ? Does the Prison Warden have the answer ?

  9. @Smh, what power plant? You people. People are disappearing here with impunity and that’s the best you can come up with,
There are bigger fish in this net than meets the eyes and this man’s silence is crucial.

    • The UPP Chinese-built and funded, Wadadli Power Plant, has been plagued by several operational challenges since 2011

“While the electricity business unit manager stopped short of giving an amount, he said Antigua and Barbuda is STILL REPAYING DEBT FOR THE PLANT”

      • There is a post in the news paper about Alex release from prison and without knowing the facts , and why it happened, every body just began to post all sort of things without knowing the truth. Suppose nothing was wrong in his release how can people take back all they have said. Captain Penny feather need to make a statement on this matter, also his Attorney Mr Robinson.

  10. All this from the “NEW” plant that UPP buy from them people

“The two engines were very unreliable resulting in many power outages. Then we lost one of the two to serious damage and last month we decided to close down the other engine because it was uneconomical to continue operating,” Matthias explained.

Power plants normally have a 20 to 30 year lifespan.

R.i.p Wadadli Power Plant 2011-2016 “NEW” engines!!

    • We still have a very heavy outstanding debt to Foster Wheeler for the defunct Tango Powerplant that consumed 1000 gallons of fuel per hour. Do your research.

      • UPP killed Tango! They didn’t want anything from “Bird” even tho it benefitted Antigua

        Wikkit setta badminded hoodlums!!

  11. This useless ALP government needs to go now. Foreigners come to Antigua and do as they like. The Chinese punk is still on island and needs to be found and deported.

  12. He is probably lock away in the chinese embassy waiting to be taken to China to be executed for treason. We can’t do anything about it because we get plenty financial assistants from China.

  13. I write before and I’ll write again Antigua and Barbuda has an abnormal high number incompetent individuals holding important roles in Governmental leadership, starting with the AG.
How does the Head of Prisons
explain under what circumstances Feng was released from prison. Shouldn’t the police be looking for him? Or do they have orders from higher up this is a non issue.
The few locals in Antigua who had gotten a glimpse of the Chinese Embassy in Antigua while it was under construction reported it has five levels below grade (underground).
The mayor of London stopped the sale of a prominent building to the Chinese Government fearing that London will be added to the Chinese government overseas police stations like in New York and Canada masquerading as consulates.
Should the Police be locking for him? They may be very aware he is now living in the basement.
I’m just asking. Is Antigua a rendering location for the Chinese foriegn system?

    • oh shut up! Why u no go nominate yourself on election day? since you so “competent”? get of your latrine high seat and come back down to earth with your luciferian ramblings!

  14. I am just asking: Is the Chinese Embassy in Antigua an “Extraordinary rendition site?”

  15. Bring the gifts and come colonize us.
    Remember that!!!
Antigua in cohoots with the Chinese government and those in charge turn and look the other way!
He’s going back to China to be tried for treason..we won’t hear about this story again..
Probably go to prison and serve hard labor..sad!

  16. Hope it’s not another choks situation with high officials seems to be involved waiting on some boat to make a transfer

  17. The AG needs to address the many concerns and unanswered questions of the people. We’re calling on you CUTIE, STOP HIDING.
WHERE IS ALEX? CALL A LIVE PRESS CONFERENCE. ARE YOU UP TO THAT TASK?

Something has to change. Antigua is out of control, it’s scary. I agrees, the people of Antigua need to stand up and demand better protection and demand answers. Not even a judge is safe in her court room.

Let’s protest as Antiguans, NOT AS ABLP OR UPP, BUT AS CONCERNED ANTIGUANS DEMANDING BETTER FROM THE PEOPLE WHO WORK FOR US. THE CITIZENS WHO CARE, AND THERE ARE MANY, WILL TURN OUT IN LARGE #’S. AS LONG AS OUR BATTLES REMAIN ABLP/UPP WE WILL CONTINUE GOING NOWHERE.
THE FAT CATS ON THE HILL WILL CONTINUE LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK.

  18. Poorly written stories creates confusion. Who , what, where, when, why usually provides suffixes information for the public. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS HOW THE STORY WAS WRITTEN.

I realize everybody’s compression skills are different.
The man has completed his prison sentence.
The man does not have any legal standing in the country.
Immigration obviously held on to him.

The man is projected to open a Chinese restaurant near you…..

    • Poorly written yet DEAD DARG PRINGLE still struggle with pronunciation and comprehension
