The World Pediatrics Clinic has wrapped up a successful patient screening and follow-up event at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, with dozens of children receiving specialised care over two days.
Held on Friday and Saturday, the initiative brought together local and visiting medical professionals to assess and treat a range of conditions, including scoliosis and other orthopaedic concerns. A total of 37 patients were seen during the outreach.
The visiting delegation included scoliosis surgery specialist Dr Chester Sharps and orthotist Ashton Wagner, both of whom worked closely with local counterparts throughout the programme.
Also present was Mrs Lauren McIntosh-Shallow, Executive Director for the Eastern Caribbean at World Pediatrics, who played a key role in organising the event.
