Nearly 100 women gathered at the Antigua and Barbuda Workers’ Union headquarters for the annual Women’s Conference, focused on advancing gender equality and empowerment.
Held under the theme “Accelerate Action for Women and Girls’ Rights, Empowerment, and Equality,” the event featured workshops and talks on reproductive rights, workplace equity, and ongoing challenges facing women in the region.
Participants reflected on the progress made over the past year while calling for stronger advocacy and more community-driven action. Organisers hope the conference will spur continued efforts toward achieving lasting equality.
