Woman charged for receiving stolen sex toy, ex-partner charged with stealing

A young woman has been charged with receiving an adult sex toy worth $300 knowing it to be unlawfully obtained.

Twenty-two-year-old Antonya Otto had to appear before the Chief Magistrate on Monday to answer to a charge alongside her ex-partner 25-year old Delon Mattheson.

However, Mattheson was absent and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Meanwhile, Otto’s laywer Wendel Robinson on the cue of the Chief Magistrate noted a discrepancy with the charge.

The matter was therefore adjourned for March 1, at which time Mattheson should make an appearance.

It is believed that on November 7, Mattheson broke into Harmony Remedies on Popeshead Street and stole jewelry, adult sex toys, male enhancement pills, a quantity of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, phone accessories, and $9000 in cash.

The owner of the store discovered that someone broke into her establishment through a wooden door on the following day.

Otto was reportedly given the sex toy by Mattheson who may have been her boyfriend at the time.
