NOTICE OF CLEANING OF THE WASTEWATER SETTLING PONDS
ST. JOHN’S, Antigua and Barbuda – August 8, 2024
As part of the West Indies Oil Company’s (WIOC) environmental and maintenance programs, WIOC intends to clean our Wastewater Settling Ponds and drains to maintain the quality of the water exiting the Facility.
The cleaning is scheduled for August 12 – 14, 2024 between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Please be advised that, based on the prevailing wind direction, the cleaning process may produce some odour that could impact the neighbouring community.
Rest assured, our environmental consultant will monitor and supervise the entire operation, and every precaution will be taken to minimise any impact.
We take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Does anyone know where the water exiting the facility actually goes? To Mckinnons Pond? To Runaway Beach? To the streets of Yorks?
