Winston Williams Jr. partners with parents donates Towards Math Education at Jennings Primary School

ABLP political hopeful for St. Mary’s North, Winston Williams Jr., has made a significant contribution to enhance mathematics education at Jennings Primary School through his “Strive for Excellence” initiative in partnership with the Hope Tree Foundation.

The $800 donation will fully fund an innovative project to paint multiplication tables on school walls, as part their mission to make math concepts more accessible and visible to students throughout their daily activities. This project emerged from discussions with School Principal, Mrs. Denise Solomon, who identified the need to strengthen mathematics education at the institution.

“When Mrs. Solomon shared her vision of making mathematics more visible and engaging for our students, I knew we had to support this creative approach,” said Mr. Williams. “Math is fundamental to our children’s future success, and sometimes the simplest solutions can have the most significant impact.”

The project, funded through the Hope Tree Foundation, will be a community effort, with parents and business owners volunteering their time and skills to complete the installation. “This is exactly the kind of community collaboration we envisioned with our ‘Strive for Excellence’ initiative,” Williams added. “When we all work together, we can create meaningful improvements in our children’s educational environment.”

The “Strive for Excellence” Initiative encompasses several educational programmes in St. Mary’s North targeted toward supporting educational institutions, enhancing student development, promoting agricultural entrepreneurship, while at the same time foster  community engagement.

  1. Why doesn’t Mr. Williams find his own initiatives and stop piggybacking on Ms. London’s ideas? SMH! Okay Winston, FOLLOW THE LEADER!!!

  2. Since Winston Williams entered the political race, he has consistently trailed behind Dr. London in public support.

Many are surprised by his return, given his past controversies and failures in governance. His reemergence has raised concerns among constituents, as his previous handling of public projects—such as the school fencing initiative—left much to be desired. Despite the financial resources allocated for such projects, the outcomes were disappointing.

It is particularly troubling to see him now engaging with schools under the guise of goodwill, despite past failures in executing initiatives meant to benefit the people of Antigua and Barbuda. His presence in the race raises critical questions about accountability and leadership integrity.

Furthermore, it is unlikely that Prime Minister Gaston Browne would welcome him into Parliament, given the weight of his past actions. The people of Antigua and Barbuda deserve leadership that is transparent, trustworthy, and committed to real progress.

  3. These comments virtually confirm Winston is front runner. No one flings stones at bad fruit.

The same can be said for Michael Freeland. Clearly pulling out infront leaving keyboard warriors scrambling to spam post endorsement of their chosen candidate or spam attack frontrunners.

Winston laid out his 2 year agenda for constituency schools and updates the public on its progress. Also the reality is that all candidates pursue similar initiatives because communities have similar needs. Perhaps desperation or the UPP mind-virus obscures these obvious things for some of you.

  4. If we don’t see the value of Mr. Williams’s contribution towards a worthwhile initiative and community effort towards our youth, then something is seriously wrong with us and some of us may need therapy to overcome our ailment of badmindedness, ignorance and wickedness to get to a progressive space where our country can move forward.
