The Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC) of Antigua and Barbuda is responsible for the oversight and regulation of the financial services industry within Antigua and Barbuda. Copied from their website.
Why doesn’t the FSRC look into why a depositor cannot get his money back?
Why are you making accusations against the FSRC? Do you know for sure that they haven’t looked into it? Lovell is a lawyer and I have advised him that if he thinks that the FSRC is not following the law, let him officially write them as Leader of the Opposition and point out the section of the law that they are negligent in enforcing. Other than that, he just needs to chill and hush. Dr. Paul Ash knows his job very well.
One more thing, the FSRC only regulates the offshore sector. Local Banks are regulated by the ECCB. And you should know that
FROM THE SIDELINE isn’t the Global Bank of Commerce an offshore bank? As you say since the FSRC regulates the offshore sector, then it certainly has the mandate to regulate the Global Bank of Commerce. You minions of the ALP just try to rationalize everything that puts the government in a negative light.
Hi Tabor, it’s been a long time since you criticized me. I didn’t know you suffered from a reading and comprehension disability. Didn’t I recommend to Lovell that he writes to the good Dr. Ash and advise him which part of the law his office is not enforcing? So yes I’m aware that Global Bank is an Offshore bank and therefore regulated by the FSRC. That has nothing to do with government. The same way the UPP government had nothing to do when Mr. Leroy King did not enforce the law when it came to the Stanford Group. But if you are curious why I commented above about the FRRC not regulating the local banks? It’s because of what Patriot wrote and claimed that he/she copied it from their website.
“The Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC) of Antigua and Barbuda is responsible for the oversight and regulation of the financial services industry within Antigua and Barbuda. Copied from their website”
That statement is incorrect as it is. It should state the “Offshore Financial Sector”.
Therefore, stop criticizing me before carefully reading and comprehending what it is I wrote. You are after all a trained legal luminary. Like your budy Lovell.
Great question Mr. Lovell.
My question to the FSRC are we looking at another Allan Stanford Bank of Antigua saga?
Is the FSRC afraid of Gaston Browne?
Shouldn’t the courts first pay out this episode and if there is wrong doing then the authorities responsible act. Isn’t that what due process is ?
If the PM is already involved and speaking publicly about the details of the case what due process are you talking about? We are long past that.
FROM THE SIDELINE I believe you are the one who needs to read and comprehend properly. You made the point that the FSRC only regulates the offshore sector. From that statement any reasonable person would come to the conclusion that you were suggesting that Global Bank of Commerce was not an offshore bank.
You are really a sad case for a lawyer. You take out my comment to someone else and don’t bother to understand what I’m commenting about and say I need to read and comprehend properly. I wrote something. You read what I wrote. Without understanding why, I wrote it.
Tabor, come better than that with your logic. You make absolutely no sense.
Must be age creeping up on you. Or wanting so bad to criticize me.
