West Indies up to 3rd in ICC T20I rankings

West Indies climbed to third place in the ICC Men’s T20I rankings, after winning three straight matches in the T20 World Cup.

The two-time champions were fourth in the world rankings going into the tournament but have now gone past the defending champions in the world rankings.

Only India and Australia are ahead of West Indies in the ICCT20I rankings.

West Indies beat Papua New Guinea and Uganda, before registering a 13-run win over New Zealand on Wednesday to qualify for the Super 8 stage.

The regional team will face Afghanistan on Monday to decide the winners of Group C.

West Indies are in Group 2 of the Super Eight stage with the USA, South Africa, and the winners of Group B.
