Money Team

The first week of the NPPA Elric Pat Beazer  8-Ball Team Tournament came to a fitting and entertaining close, mirroring the very way the season opened—with a seven-ball comb. Not a perfect game, not a break-and-run, but a clinical finish where the opponent gets a look and still can’t survive the pressure.

That theme encapsules the week.

It began with Head Hunter of Sharpshooters delivering a seven-ball comb in the very first rack of the season. It ends on Thursday night with Antonio of Money Team doing the exact same thing—closing out both the night and the week in emphatic fashion.

Monday Night: Ballbreakers Steal It Late

Week One opened with a thriller. Sharpshooters, runners-up in the 2025 tournament, come out flying and surge to a 4–2 lead. But Ballbreakers, who finish fifth last year, refuse to fold. They dig in, take the final three sets, and snatch a 5–4 comeback victory, setting an early tone: no lead is safe this season.

Tuesday Night: Billiard Kings Dominate

On Tuesday, it’s all Billiard Kings. Up against a returning Paradise Ballers side, the Kings put on a ruthless display. Paradise Ballers show promise and flashes of quality, but points are hard to come by. The result is a 5–1 rout, with Paradise Ballers managing just a couple of racks despite competitive moments throughout the night.

Diamonds Billiards Club

Wednesday Night: Cue Action Edge a Scrap

Wednesday delivers one of the more entertaining matchups of the week as Cue Action face Obsidian, two teams from the lower half of last year’s standings. Obsidian strike first through Feelinz, one of the leam’s two female players, who opened the night with a strong win. What followed was  a gritty, back-and-forth contest, but Cue Action found a way to prevail and walk away with the victory.

Thursday Night: Money Team Hold Firm

Thursday night closed the week with Diamonds Billiard Club squaring off against Money Team, third-place finishers in 2025—and the action delivered.

New Diamonds signing 40, formerly of Ballbreakers, opens the night with a hard-fought 2–1 win over Navin, who looked dangerous throughout but couldnt quite close.

99 gave Diamonds the first rack against the  Bandmaster, but unforced errors opened the door and Bandmaster capitalized to level the scores.

Sic Rick then produced a tense but commanding 2–0 win over Michael, who returns to Money Team after a championship stint with  Titans in the 2025 season.

Diamonds and Money Team traded blows again as Inshan recovered after losing the opener to Dan, capitalizing on a missed deuce-ball opportunity to square the match at 2–2.

A highlight moment followed as Lisa, owner of Lisa’s Bar and Diamonds’ lone female player, pushed Pooran, the seasoned Money Team captain, to the limit. Lisa leveled the match with smart defense, but Pooran just edged the decider to put Money Team ahead 3–2.

With Money Team on the hill, KT (Keon) traded racks with newcomer Joel before sealing the set. It was another close match but KT of his skill sets and looked calm and confident throughout.

And then Antonio stepped up to close the show.

Against Paul, Antonio is composed, precise, and ruthless—winning 2–0. The final rack summed up the week perfectly: a dry break, a missed chance from Paul, and Antonio calmly runs all seven balls and the eight to finish the night—and Week One—with authority.

From comeback wins to breakout performances, and from gritty scraps to a seven-ball comb that seals the deal, Week One of the NPPA Elric Pat Beazer 8-Ball Team Tournament delivereds xactly what it promised—pressure, precision, and pure pool drama.

Week two opens Monday night with the first showing of back to back champions Titans .
