PM Browne Vows Justice for Murdered Nine-Year-Old, Pledges Enhanced Policing

Antigua and Barbuda’s Prime Minister Gaston Browne has vowed that his government will ensure full justice for nine-year-old Chantel Crump, whose recent murder has shocked the nation.

In a national address, Browne expressed deep sorrow over the killing, describing it as a “heinous act” and pledging that law enforcement agencies will be given all necessary resources to bring those responsible to justice.

“My administration will not rest until justice is delivered in full measure to the perpetrators,” Browne said. “This is not only on behalf of Chantel and her family, but also to safeguard every other child and every other person in our society.”

The Prime Minister announced plans to enhance police investigative capacity, including the acquisition of cadaver dogs trained to detect bodies and DNA traces.

“We will bolster the investigative power of the police and enhance their capacity,” he stated. “We will stamp out this evil that has befallen our country before it spreads any further.”

Browne also urged the public to remain vigilant and play an active role in combating crime.

“We must report all suspicious activities, and send a clear message to anyone who commits or plots such crimes, that we will not allow them to contaminate our country, harm our children, or intimidate our society,” he declared.

The murder of Chantel Crump has prompted widespread outrage, with calls for increased child protection measures. Browne acknowledged the collective grief and stressed the need for national unity in ensuring children’s safety.

“As a nation, we mourn Chantel, and as a nation, we must resolve—individually and collectively—to ensure that there are no further acts of this kind,” he said.

Authorities have not yet confirmed any charges in connection with the case, but the Prime Minister’s address signals a firm government stance on tackling violent crime.

  1. As long as our collective efforts does not lead to another child suffering the same fate PM Browne has my full support on this one. This murder of this innocent is beyond the pale.

  2. The two men also the fishermen on sea have to be them that took them question the backside wicked wicked we don’t need this here in antigua it’s blessed

  3. Oops! Hope the Spanish community and other foreign nationals didn’t get offended, they must understand I have to play to the gallery of the born Antiguan, but you foreign nationals is the ALP golden goose to power in this country.

  4. Too late Browne bwoi.
You have already let in too many criminals into this tiny island.

    Question for you.
Where are those 1000 African immigrants you let into Antigua a few years ago?

You defend your foolish mistake and came of your radio program proclaiming that these Africans were good hard working business people, really!

Too many detrimental mistakes has been made by this government, from which Antigua would never recover from many of them.

Government and their policies matters people, and these are the people you voted back into office, and now here we are.

And to the many Gatson Browne defenders..Grow a spine and call a spade a spade.

This man’s policies are weak when in comes to immigration and combating crimes in such a small island.
His many foolish decisions will continue to cause pain for many for the next 3yrs of his reign.
I believe in democracy, but it’s just a damn shame that this man and his band of merry men cannot be ousted out of office, damn shame indeed.

  5. I contacted this man about strategies to avoid things like this from happening and they expressed they cared nothing about saving lives.

I said police needs to present lectures to a school weekly and present themself in communities after school let out but they refuse to listen. This could have been avoided if ABLP (PM Browne, AG Cutie Benjamin, and COP etcetera listened to me). They would have been present, they would have served as deterrent, and they would have taught students safety steps.

I mentioned steps need to be taken to safety guard government officials but ABLP and their PM and AG ignored me, conveying because it is me expressing the idea they will not listen and will let anyone and everyone die before they listen to someone like me.

I predicted this accurately and provided strategies to prevent this from happening. Had they listened to me this child would be alive, MP Asot would be alive, all those missing people would probably all be alive because I literally post these occurrence and how to prevent then often on this platform numerous times 3 years ago and often after that. I also send these recommendations directly to the PM, AG, COP, MP Green, and police officers at the helm of the force. But they hate I am so right that they prefer death of innocent people than listening to me.

ABLP is completely at fault. Your Prime Minister Browne, Attorney General and COP, others too are at fault. They were warned by my way of helping but refuse to accept the warning. More is sadly to come because of incompetence.

  6. Gaston Tom drunk, Tom no fooley!
Your government is responsible for opening up this portal of evil and allowing free access to all segments of the society and culture. You have allowed prostitution to flourish in the open. You have allowed the open air drug market to flourish. Pedophiles are roaming wild. Alcohol is the thirst quencher for the every weekend fetting. Look at your line up for the One Nation Concert.
So tell us who has contaminated the RPFAB because their mental state has to be frayed. These killings, murders, sacrifices didn’t begin with this 9 year old. Weren’t you listening to Turks about the Paradise Pedo Gang? Gaston, Tom drunk, Tom no fooley. The woman that has been charged with Chantel murder better squeal. Could she be a Madame pimp that’s grooming girls for high end prostitution? Tom sober now.

  7. The PM is responsible! He has flooded the country with these foreign criminals. We don’t want to hear nothing about “cadaver dogs”! The only thing we want to know from the PM is when the mass deportations start!

  8. Why do you need cadaver dogs…. Is this appalling atrocity that should bring God fearing Antiguans to their knees, expected to be a regular occurrence that will require the presence of multiple cadaver dogs (and by the way …. They’re expensive). Find your God people before you lose your souls!

  9. The man address the nation, as a leader should, areyou cuss; he doesn’t address as fast as areyou expect, areyou till cuss! Damned if he do, damned if he don’t!
Even if he min singlehandedly go search for the missing persons, and for the perpetrators, and if min fu find the missing and the perpetrators too, some of areyou woulda till hab nutten tarl good fu say. Areyou sick 🤮 dawg tummuck!

Some areyou only see thru blue-colored or rose-colored glasses! Areyou need fu stop it!

Truth be told, Soongoo nah betta dan Loongoo…
All a dem, red and blue, did import and encourage ton a foreigners inna dis ya likkle country.

All a dem, red and blue, did import de obeah, de witchcraft, and all other forms of darkness, FU SWAY OUTCOME OF ELECTIONS!

ALL A DEM ME SAY! TOOT, MOOT, SAM & BAGGAI!

Trouble is they invited the demonic agents to help with their deeds and misdeeds, and let them loose in the nation afterwards! That price which was paid upfront was only to bring them in for specific task, but the people of this nation will reap the after effects, because those who invited them in never escorted them back out.

Clearly, they didn’t heed the scriptures…
“Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?” Proverbs 6:27
“For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind:” Hosea 8:7a

    God help us! 🙏🏾
