Antigua and Barbuda has implemented a policy under which certain categories of United Arab Emirates passport holders will get visa-free entry into the country with immediate effect.
In making the announcement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says it wishes to inform the public that based on Cabinet Decision Nos. 94 and 95 of 5th July 2014, Cabinet agreed to provide visa exemption to Diplomats and Investors from the United Arab Emirates.
In this regard, the Ministry wishes to advise that visa free travel be made possible for holders of United Arab Emirates Diplomatic, Official and Ordinary passports with immediate effect.

Good move Gaston.
It’s a pity Antiguans still need a visa to go there
Does the same applies to the citizens of Antigua flying to those countries?
This man Gaston is a real Nation Builder he sees things much faster than all Caribbean Leaders combined. Totally cool mustache man.
@Nameless and Islandlife
Ask the US and Canada do they need a visa to come here? Ah ha
Some of the information is a bit confusing.
First the headline might be misleading as usual.
Second is it Official, diplomatic, and all ordinary passports?
Or is it just ordinary passport held by a specific group to with investors?
@Melchisedec
I see what you are poorly trying to say but let ME gently educate you. A few of our lovely brother and sister islands are on that VISA free exemption list for the UAE Ah ha ha ha!!! Check it out
And don’t miss my point…If their government can negotiate to have it reciprocated why can’t we. Whats wrong why the UAE insists that Antigua needs a VISA to enter their country.
I must say however, it’s a good move for attracting investors and the tourism industry (if they market the island well) but back to my point why are we not on that list?
IT’S VERY MUCH STILL A PITY!!!
But isn’t this old news from January 2016 ANR??? PM Brown mentioned in January 2016 that they will abolish the requirement for visas for citizens and residents of the UAE to travel to Antigua/ Barbuda, and that it will be in effected in the next 30 days which was February 2016.

Barbados is the only Caribbean country that has visa free access.
What percentage of bajans has visited UAE since they have visa free access?
Caribbean people especially Antiguans generally do not have any interest in visiting those territories.
As I said do not blame the passport nor negotiation. It is neither here nor there to me and most of the country.
I rest my case, cannot take this any further……
@Melchisedec well just to educate you a few of our lovely brother and sister islands have that VISA free travel to the UAE 📝 Ah ha ha ha!!! Check it out. If they can negotiate for their nationals. What wrong with us???? What’s wrong with the Antigua and Barbuda’s passport why we are still not exempted??? IT’S A PITY!!!!!!
@ Islandlife
shifting the ball a little to enhance discussion.
Antiguans can go to Haiti visa free however Haitians need a visa to come to Antigua.
Antiguans can go to all African states visa free however 99% of Africans require a visa to come to Antigua.
USA and Canada can come to Antigua visa free but Antiguans need a visa to go to their country.
It is how it is for now their are unseen forces controlling these things, do not blame the passport, or negotiation.
Minister Farakhan (you can see the Earth, but the force that is holding it in place you cannot see)…..
This is really neither here nor there for the common man who doesn’t see any benefit from this. Almost every week I see countries being announced whose citizens are allowed visa free access to Antigua but show me the real benefit, if any, to the normal Antiguan & Barbudan man or woman. Whilst Antiguan & Barbudan nationals continue to lose visa free access to the places they would love to visit most, out government seem to be unaware of nonchalant about our requirements. Until our citizens can resume visiting Canada without the hassle and expense of securing a visa, these sound bites means nothing. Our Foreign Affairs Ministry and our Government would be best advised to engage the Canadian Government more with a view of really helping our citizens. Until then, visa free access for Russians, and Citizens of UAE and others are meaningless to us.
In that case, ALL DIPLOMATS and INVESTORS of all 195 countries of the World should have Visa Free access to Antigua and our Diplomats and Investors likewise…
I have interest to travel and work in the UAE
