A 24-year-old Vincentian man has been fined $8,000 after pleading guilty to four offences arising from a crash that seriously injured national cyclist Tahje Browne.
Kishroy Harry admitted to dangerous driving, driving without the owner’s consent, driving without a valid driver’s licence, and driving without insurance after his vehicle struck Browne on Sir Sydney Walling Highway on June 20.
Harry was arrested at V.C. Bird International Airport the following day while attempting to board a flight to St. Vincent. The court also noted that he fled the scene after the collision.
Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel imposed fines of $2,000 on each charge. The court considered Harry’s remorse and guilty plea but weighed them against the seriousness of Browne’s injuries and his attempt to leave the jurisdiction.

What is his status in the country…is he legal?
Remorse me…r@$$
The cyclist now needs to institute a civil suit to be compensated. How does this family ensure he does not flee the jurisdiction before their civil suit can be heard?
Smdh
Sooo his little r*ss not going to jail? I am sorry to hear this. The fact that he was caught trying to leave Antigua would’ve made me jail him for some time.
I also think that we need to start adding community service into some sentences. A little hard work might help put things into perspective for some people.
These sentences are beyond ridiculous now….
Where the person that charge him come from or the prosecutor?.
AND THE MAN. THAT KILLED THE STUDENT ON FIARS HILL ROAD HE CASE JUST KEEP PUSHING BACK, SEE HOW QUICK THAT CASE CALL🤔
THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. YOU RAN DOWN A MAN RIDING A BIKE AND FLED THE SCENE.THEN YOU TRIED TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY TO ESCAPE YOUR CRIME.YOU WERE CAUGHT AT THE AIRPORT.NOW YOU ARE ONLY FINED $8,000.YOUR ARSE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FINED AND CONFINED. OUR THE YEARS,I HAVE HEARD THAT JUSTICE IS BLIND.THAT IS SUCH BULL DUNG.FOR IN ANTIGUA,THE EYES OF JUSTICE ARE WIDELY OPENED AND BENEFITS THOSE WITH CONNECTIONS.
Our judiciary is broken!
With all this evidence available to the court’s (including the horrific video evidence), our out of kilter judiciary saw it fit to only issue a fine???
Even if they quadrupled the fine to help the victim overcome his severe injuries would have been some sort if help; which has more than likely caused financial hardship to the victim and his family.
THIS JUDGEMENT STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN
I think is out ur ass ih
