A man from Villa, 24, is currently receiving medical treatment after being shot in St. John’s on Wednesday evening.
The incident took place around 6 p.m. when a 22-year-old suspect reportedly approached the victim and fired at him, striking him in the upper body.
The suspect fled the scene on foot and is now the focus of a police search. It’s believed that both individuals have been embroiled in a long-standing conflict.

It is reported that the bullet is lodged dangerously close to his heart.

Gassy money ran out, so the gangs started up again. The PM needs to walk through the town during the day, and he will see the number of young and older men hanging outside of Paradise Casino on Lower Market Street across from Papa Bird Statue. I saw them myself in the morning, and the crowd got larger in the afternoon around 4:00 p.m. St John’s city is so filthy especially the gutter drains. Why are all those gun crimes happening in Villa Area.I lived in Villa Area many moons ago.Back then the Area was cleaned and well kept.I went there last year and could not believe that was my VILLA AREA. While talking to folks on the street it’s been said that this shooting is as a result of a turf war between Junior Brown Gang and their rival. It’s also been said that Junior Brown is a supplier of guns and ammo as a middle man for the middle easterners.
@ Bugsy I must concur with you. Years ago Villa was the epitome of a place where finding somewhere to move into was like hitting the jackpot. It was clean and very well kept. Now there are abandoned houses with overgrown bushes. Abandoned cars and garbage every where. And to think that this is the Prime Minister’s constituency.
