VIDEO: Firefighters rescue elderly man living in worst conditions imaginable

8

Firefighters have come to the rescue of an ailing elderly man who for years has only known the company of roaches, rats, and other insects.

Once a popular Street Preacher, the man known only as Brother Connie was discovered living in the most deplorable conditions imaginable after firefighters responded to a blaze near his house.

Knowing the man to live in the area, the servicemen checked on him and what they found was described as heartbreaking.

They were immediately moved to action to assist the man.

A video recorded from the experience shows several rats in his room and filth not even suitable for beasts to reside in.

The house was cleaned, fumigated and the occupant given medical attention and new items.

More information will be provided later.

  4. Thank God for the cleanup team they did a great service to a person in need great job. One word of caution, everybody should be wearing a dust mask to avoid any potential health risk.

  5. While I commend the work of the fighters, I am disappointed that they did not have better protective gear. So often our service organisations are overlook for minimal essentials. Dust as the cameraman referred to it was a mixture of so many things that could negatively impact their immune system
