Heavy rain from Tropical Storm Jerry has triggered widespread flooding across Antigua, with residents reporting rising waters from St. John’s to Bolans, All Saints, and Clare Hall.
Motorists described difficult driving conditions Friday morning as drains overflowed and several roads became partially submerged.
The Antigua and Barbuda Meteorological Service said Jerry has moved northwest of the Leeward Islands, but moisture trailing the system continues to produce heavy showers and thunderstorms.
A flash flood advisory remained in effect until 8 a.m. and could be extended if rains persist. Forecasters warned of up to two inches of rainfall in the coming hours.

Emergency officials urged residents to stay indoors, avoid flooded areas, and report dangerous conditions to the National Office of Disaster Services. Video by George Wehner
