Activist Calls for Unity Gathering, Demands Justice for Chantel Crump
Activist Bonita Williams, who organized multiple searches for nine-year-old Chantel Crump, is urging the public to gather this morning in solidarity with the grieving family. She is also calling for the death penalty for those responsible for the child’s tragic death.
“We want justice for this family because they deserve it. Let us bring awareness to what is happening in our country and demand answers from our Prime Minister. We need security for our children,” Williams stated in an impassioned appeal.
She urged the community, including influencers, artists, and individuals from all walks of life, to stand together. “Look at your own children and picture Chantel’s face. Imagine if that was your child—what would you want to be done for her? Chantel has opened our eyes to the dangers we face. If we do not take a stand now, our kids will not be safe in the future,” she said.
Williams called for accountability, pressing authorities to ensure those responsible for Chantel’s death are punished. “Today is the day to stop talking behind keyboards and take action. We need answers from the police commissioner, from the government. We cannot allow this little girl’s life to be taken in vain.”
The unity gathering will take place this morning outside the police headquarters on American Road, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Williams emphasized that this is not a protest but a show of support for Chantel’s family.
“I will be there, even if I have to stand alone. The whole nation must stand for this little girl,” she declared.
Williams also highlighted the growing fear among parents, with many now hesitant to send their children to school due to safety concerns. “Mothers have reached out to me, crying about their fears for their children. We cannot continue like this,” she said.
She urged everyone to support Chantel’s parents, Marsha Crump and her husband, as they grieve. “I watched this mother faint last night—her blood pressure skyrocketing from the pain. She is devastated. We must be there for them.”
Williams ended her call to action with a desperate plea: “This country is crying out. We need to stand together. If nothing else, let us unite for the safety of our children.”

100% agree with this action. I thought I was tough this tragedy exposed my vulnerability my children Couldn’t believe when they saw me crying this morning
As much as I grieve, as much as I empathize and feel saddened by this tragedy, what does the government have to do with a sicko who abducts a child?
This is the first case of abduction of a child I’ve known since living in Antigua.
The police based on the tips and information they received hunted down the perpetrators and have them in custody. The police didn’t give you answers in a timely manner and now the police didn’t do their jobs?
What more do you want them to do, they moved swiftly in getting an arrest and finding Chantel.
How does the government know what’s in the heart of an person and prevent them from committing such crimes against children & humanity? These killer/s have family, did they know this was happening under their own noses and what did they do to prevent it?
We need to be our brothers keepers, we need to be vigilant, we need to teach children about stranger danger as parents. Where’s the responsibility and call for parents to act like they have sense and be responsible for their children.
Our children are raising themselves. Our children are being preyed upon by their own Fathers, Uncles, Brothers & Mothers and what is being done to prevent it?
They are pimped out by their parents and as a society we turn a blind eye but will call on the government to parent & protect our children when tragedy strikes?
Parents Take responsibility for your children as the law can only protect them most times after the crime has happened.
We as parents need to play our part. It takes an entire village to raise a child.
The entire village showed up and we brought Chantel’s family closure.
Let’s make it a priority to show up and protect ALL children.
When we see things happening, say something. Don’t turn a blind eye. Speak up and out LOUDLY.
Call the police, and for Gods sake, clean your camera lens, keep your hands steady when capturing a crime. You post videos online and they are professionally done when you are winking up etc. Do the same for a crime.
We don’t need to see the pavement stay focused and capture as much information as possible. Less talking more visual. The Make model and description of the car is vital. Repeat the tag number in your video. That’s all.
I’m not in the country, needless to say that I’ve lost recognition of that beloved country Antigua. I stand in solidarity with you Ms. Williams. Everyone who truly loves Antigua irrespective of the politics must realize that something is wrong, and the country cannot continue on this slippery slope into destruction. This is not the Antigua that I was born and raised, and it hurts. Citizens of goodwill must let their voices he heard like never before. Much success in this effort.
My GOD 😪😪😪😪😪😥😥😥
The death penalty was never abolished. It’s just never carried out.
People need to stop weighing in on this tragedy trying to make a name for themselves. Nobody asked you and all the other letters of outrage that have been posted. It won’t bring Chantal back.
It’s these same “Pillars of the community” who are the market for these children in the first place, don’t forget that’s why nothing came of the Paradise View ring which I am blue in the face talking about.
A pliers and pluck nails eyes limbs slowly
That’s what whomever is responsible should get no easy out. Let them feel pain
A 9 year old is so young. I will keep this family before God in prayer.
I am praying that the answer to why this happened is revealed. Not knowing why a loved one was murdered haunts.
The death penalty is sufficient. Man is not the final authority nor will we ever be. God is. The Lord avenges. Eternal punishment exists just as eternal life with God for all those who have repented and placed their faith in Christ Jesus.
So you’ll may come at me but please remember what we do unto others it will come back at us maybe not now or not even us maybe our children, the father has known to brag and tell persons he’s been to jail for murder, and I do feel sorry for the grief of the child but what a father spits out of his mouth can be the down fall of his family, when a man likes to threaten people telling them he’s going to kill forgetting he has a child it is really bad
So because you don’t like the child father, the child deserves to die or to not be avenged? What nonsense is this! Children are innocent in all this! Ah best you never said anything “WOW” if this is all you can contribute.
Justice for Chantal!
The death penalty was abolish in the Caribbean for all those countries who still have the Privy council as our final court of appeal. England has abolished the death penalty and commute their sentences to life in prisonment. Antigua final court of appeal is the Privy council. Even if the Judge sentenced the murderer to be hang, the mutderer has 14 days to appeal which ofcourse he going to use that. At his hearing, the Privy council will sentence him to life. We need our own caribbean court as our final appellet court. These criminals should suffer the same fate like this 9 years old little girl. Family members, carry our your investigation and know where to go for justice. While at the prison, he should be eating all the prisoners shit and the little girl spirit should be beating him both night and day.
