Social Transformation Minister Rawdon Turner has premiered a video on his social media platforms showing truckloads of building materials arriving for distribution to vulnerable households under the government’s Housing Assistance Programme Initiative (HAPI).

In the post, Turner said the programme is aimed at supporting the country’s poorest and most indigent residents by improving housing conditions “with dignity and care.”
He explained that applications can be collected from the Social Protection Board and that, once submitted, officers will visit and assess each household to determine eligibility.
According to the minister, qualifying applicants will receive building materials at no cost to help improve their homes.

Turner said the initiative is intended to restore pride, create safer living conditions, and reinforce that vulnerable citizens are “seen, valued, and never forgotten” as the government continues efforts to build a more caring and compassionate society.

I would like to know where to go and sign up please. And what are the qualifications. Just wants to know what qualifies you to get help.
Those Politicians surely like to promote themselves using taxpayers $$$$$$.Would those materials go to the COMRADES IN RED?
These materials will mostly go to Labourites but some will go to selected people who are on the fringe and not certain who to vote for, we know the ABLP play book, if they are not getting your vote you will not be getting, it’s how they flex
To be transparent, why not make public the criteria for those persons who will be qualified for such an initiative. Let’s hope that Roydon Turner & his associates are true to their words. The housing stock at Denfields, Dredgers and the other housing development have left out many of the poor & vulnerable people. It’s only if they also taste a piece of the pie.
Whenever they are under fire, that’s what they do. The thiefing vehicle matter is still at the fore, the refugee deal that they were forced to sign on to and lied blatantly about, the resurgence of the Alfa Nero discovery and the fact that the U.S’s next move is uncertain, as they investigate persons who are closely linked to Madero. Donald Trump is not concerned with a truckload of plyboard. He wants answers to the movement of cocaine through the region and the laundering of money through the U.S. One way or the other, he’s going to find out so you might have to cut more deals so keep pretending to be philanthropists. Your cups are running over.
Right now a political desperation for Gaston with all the betrayal of Antigua and Barbuda.
Plus covering his a$$ through laundering public funds that if investigated he can claim no money was pocketed by him, it was spent on namco and other social programs.
,@rovi: my government is not into no drug trafficking, we agree that global port has the connections to pack drugs on the tourist boat and the white mafias at PLH over on Barbuda with the airport under their control, am I to blame, they contribute toy campaign financing, that’s all.
Nothing matters anymore, since this stupid unauthorized agreement was signed 90 day ago to accept third country deportees. 90 days ago take us to the end of September. So all these giving away was because they knew what was coming. Right now the only thing that matters is that agreement to all the none Antigua deportees into this country.
Pringle if you don’t pull of a white shirt march before this because state news, is best you resign from the leadership of the UPP. You are the main or only opposition party and the people are against this, so ride the wave.
We already know that one or two truly vulnerable families will receive some of the material, while the rest will be used or sold by crooked government officials and their cronies.
I am very impressed with the governments efforts to assist the vulnerable in society. Hope they get to the people who really in need
