Teen Receives Saxophone Through Community Donation
Seventeen-year-old aspiring musician Drayton Payne received an early Christmas gift on Sunday when community members presented him with a saxophone donated through the efforts of Brother Sylvester Browne and the UPP Women’s Forum.
The presentation took place during a small gathering where supporters highlighted Payne’s involvement in the Progressive Youth and his developing interest in music. Organisers said the instrument was given to help support his growth as a young performer.
Speakers recalled Payne’s long-standing connection to community activism, noting that he has been involved in political campaigning since childhood and has remained active in local youth initiatives. They also expressed appreciation to the Women’s Forum for facilitating the donation.
Attendees encouraged the public to continue supporting Payne as he advances in his musical journey.
