  1. That’s not really bad, better him keep cool in the hot kitchen that having him wear a sweaty shirt. It’s bad etiquette but still better than coughing and wiping sweat

    • The scary thing about eating out …at restaurants, food vendors…is that you just do not know how the food was prepared. This is a serious risk that one takes.
With the situation of public water being off most times, it maKes the scenario even more dangerous.
I am of the opinion that no restaurant should be in operation if it does not have running water and even further “Hot water”. The latter is required to sterilize cooking utensils and cutlery.

Government should ensure that all eating places in Antigua & Barbuda be outfitted with hot water systems and then subsidize their utility bills.

On another case, the pest control companies can tell you that when they visit most of the eating places in our nation, it is appalling to see the state of the kitchens. Rat and roach infestation are common conditions.

The insanitary conditions in which food is prepared for public consumption is deplorable.
The we come to the festival times like carnival when the situation gets even worse. Many vendors and eating places disregard simple basic hygiene practices in a quick rush to maximize profit.

How often does a restaurant or any eating establishment take a vacation: close down for a few days…just to evaluate the condition of their business facilities ( clean and sanitize).
It seems like only when a serious health crisis strikes that we get a wake up call.

EATING OUT IS A DANGEROUS PRACTISE: But that is the lifestyle of the west: FAST FOOD WHICH LEADS TO FAST DEATH

  2. 😂😂😂. This don’t matter dem people in Antigua will still eat from dem Chinese. How many footages have been displayed of Chinese restaurants filthy ways and the people in Antigua still support them. I hope his sweat drip in their food 😂😂😂😂

  3. Haha. I remember the incident at Hemmingway’s Café in St. Johns a week ago, where full dressed chefs severed a couple food with nylon fibers in it. Instead of apologizing they owner told the customer via phone that she couldn’t had had food from their kitchen, the waitress them came on the phone and told the owner that yes the food she served was from the kitchen. The staff threatened the couple with the police and insisted that she paid for her half eaten pasta meal. Local people carry these food places much more that tourists do and they treat locals like shit.

  4. Not gonna lie, when i saw the title… i already knew it had to be a chinese restaurants …

  5. There are a lot of small restaurants in Antigua that people just shouldn’t be eating from. Better safety measures and inspections are needed. Go look in the kitchens of some of these places. I guarantee you’ll never eat there again.

  6. I do not eat from most of them. Similarly you have people cooking from their homes and then coming out and sell by the roadside. Same with groups, churches, work places they have this stuff they call potluck and people from different homes bring different stuff- me nah eat from that either. So I select who and where I eat snd whom I eat from as much as possible.

  7. We have seen reach and rat infestation and you still buy and eat. The place is hot , he took off his shirt, better than being sweaty. I bet there get mire people since the video.

  8. Regardless, of the circumstances, this is still a code violation, as it pertains, to food 🍲 reparations.

A couple of things are at play here…

1…SAFETY! SAFETY! SAFETY! If an accident happens, as in him being burnt, it cost either an insurance company and or the medical system(public funds).

2…bodily fluids entering into what is being prepared. Maybe, they should just spit in the food too.

3…Today’s technology allows for breathable/air-wicked materials to remove sweat from the body through evaporation.

If this was Sandals or Emrald Cove’s kitchen would the comments of some people, be filled with ignorance, naivety and callousness?

One can only imagine and speculate, as to the #HABITS of an establishment, such as this, behind the scenes out of the eyes of the general public.

I can truly understand, why even the #Mutt_Dog gets more respect, than the indigenous population.

Being lost, through ignorance is an understatement towards our culture.

    This is pure fucking lunacy!

  9. Wait until you see the ones with the smoking syrians. Ahwe nyam from ebrybaddy. Nevah see Dem at food handler’s training courses. From the suitcase selling into the kitchen. Neat, tidy small local black run eateries and snackettes , but no, we love when other people feeding us. And we don’t question. We just line up and support. Nyam away.

  10. Chinese food is delicious. That can’t stop me from buying chinese. A little sweat will make the food sweeter anyways.

  11. It will be business as usual on Tuesday lunch time….

I recall the one on old Parham road was closed, and he moved into the building next door and now he is the #1 Chines restaurant in town….

Antigua people are concerned with what they can afford and less about health. And yes it is the politicians that have people struggling to keep gas out their systems.

  12. As a food handler he should not be half naked in any kitchens. Those inside that kitchen with him should all be wearing hair nettings. To prevent their hairs from going into the foods being prepared for the customers.I do hope the Health Inspectors see this video and pay them a surprised visit. You never know what they would find.

  13. I saw shirtless video, and since I’m middle-aged and lonely…I clicked. (tears)

  14. I don’t understand this video. Why are these people in Antigua…to cook food topless? Are things that bad in China? I though their government said they won the war on poverty. I can understand if they are not used to heat…but this makes me feel sad. I wish the videographer would talk to them instead of filming them through the window.

  15. I was at a particular restaurant one time and the chef took vegetables and scallions from the market and just cut them up and put them into the pot without washing them. Who knows what goes on in those restaurant kitchens? And it’s not only in restaurants, I was passing a lady on market street selling plums in a plastic bag. She was washing the plums in a bowl of water that I wouldn’t wash my feet with. That’s how dirty the water was, and people buy those plums and eat them straight out of the bag.
