Shoplifter Swaps Old Shoes for New at XPZ Supermarket

XPZ Supermarket is dealing with an unusual case of theft after a shopper walked out with a fresh pair of shoes—leaving their old ones behind.

In a lighthearted but firm social media post, XPZ International Trading LTD shared the incident, humorously addressing the thief who “upgraded their footwear” without paying. The store quipped that while they now have the suspect’s worn-out shoes, their exchange policy does not include “trade-ins.”

The theft, which was caught on the store’s surveillance cameras, has sparked amusement among customers but also serves as a reminder of shoplifting incidents that businesses frequently face. XPZ has urged the individual to return the stolen footwear.

Authorities have not confirmed whether the matter has been reported to the police. However, XPZ Supermarket’s playful callout suggests they are giving the culprit a chance to correct their misstep.

Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to contact the store.

  1. He will be apprehended in due course. Out of shame, he will return the merchandise or pay for them. His friends will alert him. He is lucky that XPZ management is giving him the chance to return them without legal action. These are the young culprits whom we have to watch closely. They commit the bigger crimes. The prices in that store are more reasonable than any store in Antigua.
    Shameful

  3. Unless this is another episode in the sick Chinese humor entitled “Stop Teef we Diapers “.If this is a true story, he chose the wrong supermarket. Hardly anybody shops there anymore

  4. When will you people understand if the top slack the middle and bottom just cannot be tight rip offs happen every day in high places with impunity so the ordinary man just do the same the only difference they get caught and punished

  5. Sikes
I endorse your statement……..all the best for XZP strategies on dealing with theft…….I dont find this funny at all.

  6. NOW I’M NOT CONDONING STEALING, BUT TO SEND A PERSON TO 1735 FOR STEALING A PAIR OF SANDALS COULD VERY WELL MAKE THAT PERSON WORSE, BEARING IN MIND THE HARSH CONDITIONS THAT EXIST IN THAT CLOSE KNIT COMMUNITY. IN SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES Y NOT GIVE THE THE PERPETRATOR THE OPTION OF DOING COMMUNITY SERVICE, & IF REFUSED, THEN JAIL.U WOULD BE SURPRISED HOW A SIMPLE KIND ACT HAS THE POWER TO TURN SOMEBODY’S LIFE AROUND WHILST SIMULTANEOUSLY LETTING THEM GO WITH A STERN WARNING THAT CRIME WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. WHEN U GROW UP IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE ALL U HEAR EVERY SINGLE DAY SINCE CHILDHOOD IS FOUL LANGUAGE, BADWOD, BADWOD & ACCUSATIONS & VIOLENCE BY HYPOCRITES WHO THEMSELVES R NOT SETTING AN EXAMPLE, ITS SO HARD FOR U TO BE POSITIVE UNDER THEM DEADLY CONDITIONS, BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD ALMIGHTY. C ALOT A THESE YOUNG PPL JUST NEED TO BE STEERED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION VIA POSITIVE MENTORSHIP OR BY BECOMING APPRENTICED TO A TRUSTWORTHY PERSON/BUSINESS, ITS NOT THAT THEY ARE INHERENTLY UP TO NO GOOD. NOW I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT RIGHT HERE IN ANTIGUA ALOT A WHITE-COLLAR EMBEZZLEMENT IS TAKING PLACE, INVOLVING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS PERIODICALLY IN INSURANCE COs., & THE ONE PROCESSING THE TRANSACTION IS EXPECTED TO BE MUZZLED, & IT IS A VEXING ISSUE THAT THIS KINDDA THING DONT COME OUT IN THE NEWS, ITS SWEPT UNDER THE RUG, BUT THERE IS NOTHING HIDDEN THAT SHALL NOT BE BROUGHT TO LIGHT. IS THERE A CORRELATION BTWN THE NO. OF MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCES/ABDUCTIONS & ALL OF THIS SIPHONING OFF OF MONEY IN HIGH PLACES? IT REMAINS TO BE SEEN.
