Residents are experiencing the effects of Tropical Storm Ernesto, even as the system moves away from Antigua. However, the all-clear has not yet been issued.

A resident of Hatton described the weather as very windy and noted a few fallen trees in the area. Another resident of Fort Road reported heavy rainfall.
There have also been some reports of minor flooding in low-lying areas, though no reports of roofs being blown away at this time.
The utilities provider, APUA, announced that electricity has been partially restored, but much of the island remains without water and electricity.
Most businesses, including government offices, are currently closed.
Tropical storm conditions are expected to continue over portions of the Leeward Islands today and spread westward to the
Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico later today and tonight.
At 11 am, Ernesto was 55 miles west of Antigua (near Nevis) moving away to the west-northwest (WNW) at 18 mph; the max winds have increased to 50 mph.
It is gaining strength and a hurricane watch has been issued for the Virgin Islands, where it is heading next.
