Rawdon Turner Defends His Reputation as a Community Advocate
In a televised interview yesterday, Rawdon Turner, ABLP Caretaker for St. Peter, dismissed claims that he is not a “people person,” describing the narrative as a political ploy aimed at misrepresenting his character. Turner highlighted his long-standing efforts to support and empower his community, dating back to his return from university.
“There’s a political plan to try and spin my demeanor and tell people that I’m not a people person, but that is far from the truth,” Turner stated. He pointed to his early days of establishing a construction business, where his primary focus was on creating employment opportunities for local residents. Turner recounted how he actively reached out to young men in his community, particularly those sitting idly on street corners, to offer them jobs.
“When I started off, I would go on the corner and tell the young men, ‘Look, you need to empower yourself; you need a job.’ I even made it easy for them—no applications, no HR processes. I told them, ‘If you’re interested in working, just get on the bus I provided for my workers and start.’ That’s how committed I was to giving back to my community,” he explained.
Turner emphasized that his commitment to community development extends beyond employment. He highlighted his contributions to local schools, including PS Primary, Parham Primary, and Pares Secondary, where he has been involved in various initiatives for years—long before his foray into politics.
“I’ve always been a person who helps and gives back to my community,” he affirmed. “For anyone to try and paint me as someone who doesn’t care for people is not only untrue but also unfair. It’s just politics.”
Turner’s remarks come as he continues to navigate criticisms and political opposition while vying for the support of his constituents in St. Peter.

Not everybody is of the brawling, no-class temperament exuded by pearls and guns. Nor.does every representative have to see himself as some paternalistic massa handing out gifts and indulging in crimes of graft and corruption. The people of St. Peter should be very careful in the selection process of their next parliamentary repr esentative .They need to show themselves as politically mature adults capable of understanding the issues and, invoking the dignity and consciousness of their predecessors select their next parliamentary representative.
Turner is a humble, intelligent, hardworking, successful scion of the St. Peter Constituency who aspires to represent HIS people going forward. Yhe choice seems obvious.
From this point on, if Rawdon Turner has to go out of his way by using AI – Artificial Intelligence not Allen Iverson, the original AI on social media to prove that he’s a people person after he has been dipping and dabbling in politics for some years now, then he is not a people person. Man? what a conniving stooge of a man you are; as, I’ve watched you ass kissing pale skin interlopers posing as investors; with your altered ego, and subjective humility cooning your yes Massa-no-Madam fawn” then, as if possess with the benefits of a split personality; your are barking condescending verbiage at your so-called employees-Your brothers in skin color only; like you are a field master on Massa Plantation. For three years I’ve watched, heard and witnessed your physical performance on the work-sight, where you engaged scabs as professional journymen for structural construction for pettance. I also watched, as you appropriate every inch of surveyed land boundary; on a colossal development design to marginalized community, and without the thought of lending or, blending for the community benefit- such as leaving space beyond the perimeter for sidewalk or drainage and, with inept engineering preception of altering the natural water course to channels it backwards; such as to cause water stagnation and mosquito incubation. Such is the insight of your vision for your brothers-reek with condescension as to deny a whole community their accustomed view of the harbor and ocean they had known for over three hundred years, given for the benefit of the pale-skin ones; for whom you fawn with giddiness; as though a monkey wearing a suit, is somehow not a monkey. You have betrayed your purpose by overreacting with the little achievement you’ve culled from your apprenticeship from a NYC trained engineering architect; and was able to finagle into some sense of acceptability by joining with nefarious characters of the same ilk to feign and connive , like pigs pigging-out from the people’s trough and vying for staid inclusion, as quasi constituency representative!? I think nought of your posturing, but then; I might not be as naively gullible; as some other brothers with the same skin color as you; who might not be able to rationalize what manner of man to chose from- but, I do-knowing that the forest is comprised of trees, and that not all will form the canopy: yet all shall strive even when greed corrupts human dignity, absolutely.
This has always been a labour seat so even though we know Turner is bull*******g the people in the constituency he will still prevail such a pity
