The United States views action far more than just talks. The United States is vehemently opposed to China operating in the Western Hemisphere and will continue to put pressure on Caribbean countries who maintain friendly and cordial relationship with China. You only have to read a release put out by Secretary Rubio today about America’s adversaries operating in the Western Hemisphere and Caribbean countries accommodating them. America is not pleased that its influence in these parts seem to be waning at the expense of China. While we celebrate, honour and rejoice at China’s grants, their building of apartment complexes, roads, hospitals and great big Embassies in our islands, Washington is watching and taking careful note.
