With all due respect Hon Prime Minister, you were the first person who fired the shots publicly over the bow in to this subject matter and in no time, the Works Ministry, two car dealers, customs including the Comptroller, the Police, Junior Ministers, Transport Board and others were dragged into it and implicated. It’s not gonna be so easy for this vehicle scandal to go away given its complex nature and the wide cross section of people, businesses and government departments involved. Your say so alone will not work and will only cause this matter to drag on for longer than is necessary. It was an enormous failure of procedural matters that allowed this to happen and it must be thoroughly investigated and corrected.

  3. They teach you this in law school and in commonsense. Once a crime or tort or ethical violation has been committed, it has been committed even if the money was returned or the victim did not realized the harm.

    The public were harmed from this misappropriation and or abuse of office/power and no return of money or hiding of the harms changes the fact violations occurred, victims exist and ABLP seems to be in the wrong through intentional or negligent or reckless conduct while governing and in control.

    Never forget, It is you and your wife (who for some reason you won’t mention her name but her constituency!!!) who can put can nip this vehicle acquisitions procurement scandal in the bud with an independent investigation.

    Your constant pontificating on this important matter is embarrassing to all Antiguans living here who just want transparency on all governmental financial matters.

    This cannot go on for any longer – the world is keenly watching us.

    If you have nothing to hide from the taxpayers, then independently reveal all to the country.

  6. The people demand an investigation: Just do an impartial investigation and let the chips fall where they may. Who would ever be so gullible as to believe that government procurement procedures iare so spurious that fifteen .million could be spent without accountability? And, was any feasibility inquest done to ascertain the devaluation of the returned vehicles for the reported ten millions? Inquiring minds want to know as the buck stops where at the desk of the tangled web to weave: when the practice is to deceive. Clean hands needs no washing. Per si.

  7. This must be AI. I know the character to be a prolific liar but uttering such in our parliament is really off the charts. He and he alone informed us of the number of vehicles and the accumulated value and was still less than honest with the estimated figure. With all his knowledge of the alleged crime, he puts himself squarely at the forefront of the scam. He cannot be allowed to determine an outcome like all the other times and whatever is required to get answers, that is what we will apply.

    How did we get to $15million?
    I thought the prime minister said that it was 30 vehicles.
    I am looking on tbe streets and at the dealers for the Lamborghini.
    Only Lamborghini costs half a million dollars.
    If 30 vehicles cost $15 millions it is logical that one costs $500,000.00.
    Where are they?
    Will Maria take a drive around the island and tell us where she sees them hiding.
