Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister for Housing, Lands and Urban Renewal, MP Maria Browne, says the long-anticipated redevelopment of All Saints Road is expected to begin within weeks, with completion targeted for the end of 2026.

She was speaking in an exclusive interview with ABS News on Thursday, where she confirmed that the government is finalising “the last fine-tunings” before the project moves forward.

“We’re just hammering down some last finetunings,” she said. “In the next two weeks or so, we’ll be hearing more about All Saints Road, commencement dates, and the contractors involved.”

The All Saints Road corridor is one of the country’s busiest routes, linking major communities and commercial zones. Its rehabilitation has been a recurring public concern, with residents citing deteriorating conditions and heavy congestion.

Government officials have indicated that the project will feature full roadway reconstruction, upgraded drainage, and improved safety infrastructure.

Further information on the start date, scope and contract awards is expected once the government formally announces the project launch later this month.
