Moon Gate Hotel & Spa Advances Phase 2 Work as Spa, Suites and Restaurant Near Completion
Moon Gate Hotel & Spa says work is progressing across several areas of its Phase 2 development, including the spa, reception building, suites and main restaurant.
The Moon Spa’s interior works began this month, while equipment for its island-inspired treatments is on its way to Antigua.
The reception building is also advancing, with floor tiling, stucco, sheetrock, external painting, internal door frames and the main entrance chandelier now complete.
At the Edison Piano Bar, plumbing and electrical works have been finished, and windows are being installed.
Building 1 is nearing completion, with the penthouse almost ready for guests. Furniture, curtains and accessories are already in place, while the first standard suite has also been completed.
Work is continuing on Buildings 2 to 7, including bathroom installations, kitchen cabinets, plastering, bedhead construction and exterior painting.
Finishing touches are also being made to Olea, the hotel’s main restaurant, with kitchen equipment expected to arrive on island within days.

Why is it so hard for Antiguans to access financing?
I think there are Antiguans who has money to invest in the hotel industry but they are afraid to join together and invest. Thrust is the issue and the know how on such a magnitude. It’s not a guest house or a cake shop, it needs serious dedication to excellence
