  1. Thanks ANR. Great idea to share with the public the actual progress on hotel builds. This Moon Gate is a local enterprise.
Do foreign enterprises offer the same accountability and video updates? If not, maybe that should be part of every sweet deal so we know what progress is really happening.
The videos could possibly be a monthly Saturday feature for the paper. With a list of supposed signed and sealed investment/development projects showing build status to date.

  2. It’s ugly. We definitely need stricter townplanning and building rules in A&B. Do these concrete people know something about Caribbean architecture?
This country will soon look like a Wallmart parking.

  3. @Eldread: Cameron Fraser is an Antiguan citizen who arrived here when he still wearing nappies/diapers and you take offense to that? Unbelievable! His business partner on this project just happens to have darker skin than Cameron (and a Caribbean accent!) but no matter, your true colors continue to shine on this website.

  4. You don’t have a dam clue about who is behind this project but have the ignorance to talk about !White Monopoly! if you see how many jobs this project open is a lot, how many local contractor got and still on board on this project, the staff will be Antiguan also. The people who will visit or purchase apartments over there will be spending their money in Antigua. You are so ignorant about the dynamics of this kind of project and how they benefits our country. You words just show your personality and frustration that nothing you accomplish in your life and feel envy about how others are progressing in the same land that you are uncapable to develop any idea because you have none.

  5. @ west side & smith: thank you for been this sensitive and touch about my feelings of black empowerment which means entrepreneurship and not just been employed, we were always used as a labor hand to create wealth for other people especially outside our ethnicity, I may be jealous that I don’t enjoy white privilege like the Fraser gentleman name you mentioned, wether your description of him as born here or came here in pampers, he is not my enemy, he is a wonderful human being, the system of economic empowerment after emancipation have not change for my black people. The same financial system we both use will lend me monies for consumables and lend othe ethnicity for ventures etc because they are foreign financial institutions that empower their own people, like the offshore bank is not accessible to me, it’s a system that build the wealth gap and maintain that race difference from slavery up to this day. Even the Westminster system that was developed for the planters class or slave owners during the time caters for large global corporation, and corrupt our politicians to please these investment with incentives that the local populace don’t enjoy, the commonwealth system and design meetings set up by the British actually harvest our politicians brain into thinking of providing the resources for white monopoly capital domination, be it white sand beach as in Barbuda, we the locals are shown a piece of land in a waterlogged area, but I know we both ain’t mean any harm to each other by expressing our feelings about our circumstances which happens to be a world apart by our ethnicity, love yah!

  6. Excellent project. We need to educate the public about crowdfunding investing where group of individuals can put funds together to start any project even as simple as a retail business.
