VIDEO: Man Urinates in Potworks Dam, Calls It a ‘Patriotic Duty’
A man has sparked outrage in Antigua and Barbuda after a video surfaced showing him urinating in the Potworks Dam, one of the island’s primary water sources managed by the Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA).
In the video, the man stands on the edge of the dam, which appears partially dry due to current drought conditions, and declares: “Yep, this is where we get our water… but since now we’re in Ncom, I got to help… help our country, our nation, and Barbuda.” He describes the act as an effort to support the country, saying, “APUA always do the most, but we need love.”
The dam, located in the eastern part of Antigua, plays a critical role in water supply for both residential and agricultural use.
Public reaction has been swift, with many social media users condemning the act as reckless and unsanitary. Environmental and public health advocates have also raised concerns about the message it sends amid ongoing water shortages.
Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the man will face any legal consequences, but calls for an investigation and possible prosecution are mounting.
The Antigua Public Utilities Authority has not released an official statement at the time of writing.

Really? And have the heart to be quoting the National Anthem??
I hope they find the culprit.
Really? Face charges? All the farmers that use pesticides share the same fate? Every household with kitchen drain and bathroom shower drain will be changed as well? Remember, when rains, no one knows where these run offs are coming from. Household drains without soakways and run in the gutter will go somewhere eventually. He’s wrong for doing it and recording it, but will the authorities be charged for not repairing, not maintaining and not utilizing common sense strategies to keep our main source of ground water up to par.
What a stupid man! He should be locked up and given a renking bed to sleep on
A dog u be,u worthless n disrespectful, u show that u did not get proper home training, so u eat, sleep,n shit in u kitchen, nasty duty bitch, hope u face the full force of the law n spend up to ten yrs in maximum security, so they can feed u with the water u piss in,
He is definitely sending a message to APUA. “WE NEED WATER” since the damn is dry , he’s helping 😆.. APUA agwan bad now n nothing changeing so di man FED UP. But it’s the APUA building he shoulda piss pon tho.
That means I should’ve gotten locked up because I pissed closed to the cannon that enters reservoir range.
He pissed on the side why the fook y’all making a mountain out of this mould hill.
For what it’s worth, Lake Erie was so polluted in 1969 it started on fire.
Be glad it was only a little wizz.
In principle, while the action might not be a very pleasant one, and something to brag about, we are giving this story a longer shelf life than is necessary by publicizing it. Everyday tens of cows, donkeys, goats and sheep urinate in the water and no one seeks to capture videos of them doing it. People poo in the surrounding bushes and it washes down in the dam all the time. The water like all other domestic water undergoes a process of purification before it is rendered usable. The man who urinated in the water is looking attention and he is getting more than he deserves. Let’s put an end to it.
Pissing in Nature has always been a common thing. Horse piss, donkey piss, goat shit, dog shit, fowl shit, human shit and piss end up in all streams, ponds and dams.
The people should worry about been pissed on by politicians as they tell them it’s apple juice falling like rain.
What he did is horrible. However, the water runs from all over into the Dam is not clean. It has to go through a cleansing process before human ingestion. When found, sentence him to do community service.
Is it a bit distasteful? Yes . But he actually took a leak in the bushes, not in the dam itself . Animals relieve themselves in the pond night and day ( whether #1 or #2)
Why is this such a big deal ? Where’s the fire ?
