Hello everyone, as someone who took and passed the MPRE, complete US law school, passed a US bar exam, this lawsuit, suing a law office for jealously representing their client in a US court or in a court of public opinion (once they were not gagged by the court) will not be held liable in this context.

    The PM is a public person, which means if suing under defamation, he, the ABLP PM Browne, must prove MALICE. this malice requires the plaintiff to prove that the defendant knew the statement was false (nearly impossible to do for this) or that the defendant had a reckless disregard for the truth (also highly difficult to prove).

    Attorney/advocates must zealously advocate for their clients. This is a horrific abuse of tax payers’ money and I promise you will end with the people of the United Islands of Antigua and Barbuda suffering.

    What are the other causes of action in this civil complaint? Because defamation or desparagement or intentional inflection of emotional distress or negligent infliction of emotional distress or intrusion into seclusion or misuse of legal procedure will not succeed in this matter in a US court.

    It sounded like the suit is being filed in the US. It shouldn’t be in any Antigua or Caribbean court, they do not have jurisdiction.

    I don’t believe this will get very far. The attorney representing Gaston is not identifies if there is any.
    The judge is likely to give the plaintiffs attorney addressing down to waste the Court’s time.

  3. If I’m not mistaken, the PM can pursue legal defense for matters arising out of his position and can use $$$ from from the People’s coffers.

    However, having accumulated GREAT PERSONAL WEALTH, since becoming PM of Antigua and Barbuda I believe he will not do so. But then again, this is GB who practices Creative Financing.
