Police Probe Golden Grove Crash Involving Teen Driver
Police are investigating a crash in Golden Grove after a 16-year-old boy allegedly took his mother’s car without permission and slammed into a tree shortly after 6 p.m. Friday, state media reported.
Another 16-year-old boy in the vehicle was injured and is receiving medical care.
State media also reported that two young females who were in the car ran from the scene moments after the impact, leaving the injured teens behind.
ABS News said the teenage driver appears to have suffered the more serious injuries.

Sorry, no sympathy from me. Maybe an ounce or two fir the mother who must be in distress at this time – her son’s condition and that of his fellow joyride,, the damage to and possibly loss of her vehicle the police and insurance interrogations…. It’s way past time to deal severely with these “baby” offenders. This joydriver should be arrested by the police and made to face a magistrate. At a minimum, he should be fined and barred from holding a driver’s license for at least ten years!
