This national honours thing has become a joke. It now matters not, to me at least, who gets what.
I have mixed feelings about this award been granted to Flag man. With all due respect what much value has flag man brought to the table while carrying the flag at various local functions? Yes he deserves recognition and so the ministry of culture & tourism should render him such accolade but to be given such national award is questionable. There are many teachers, civil servant has given this country their service for over 30 / 40 years and have not got such accolade….. The criteria of selecting awardees for national awards need to be looked at seriously
