A Chinese man was injured on Thursday after being hit by stray bullets during a reported crossfire in the capital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Eyewitnesses said gunfire broke out suddenly, causing panic among bystanders. The man was reportedly a passerby when he was struck and is being treated at the China Friendship Hospital, along with another man who was shot in the buttocks in a separate incident earlier that morning.

Police are investigating both shootings as concern over gun violence grows. Community leaders have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The latest incidents follow the fatal shooting earlier this week of Jean Ives Bruno, son of journalist and author Alex Bruno. He was reportedly hit by a stray bullet while on his way to work. Two other men were wounded in that attack, and the suspects remain at large.

  1. The Caribbean community is loaded with criminals, from Jamaica to Trinidad, to St. Lucia , to Dominican Republic, St. kitts and Antigua as well too many guns. Too many delinquent young people.
I put this problem solely in the hands of the politicians. If they had managed our economics with prudence instead of greed and self enrichment we could not be in this situation. If they had invested in our education system, our sports and culture instead of lining their pockets and that of their family we would not be in this situation right now. If they had invested in law enforcement, instead of the greed we would not be in this situation right now.
It’s time to get honest people, community based individuals that care about people. Today representatives are chosen by political elites. A bunch of educated dunces. Traveling, attending conferences, hosting conferences while out healthcare , our infrastructure in all theses islands are in shambles.
