  1. The devil always seeking whom he may destroy and yall ain’t learning.

Thank God no fatalities for He gave all another chance.

  2. I see the following on a flyer from the Festivals Commission captioned “OFFICIAL PARADE ROUTES 2025”.

04 August – Judging of Bands 2pm. Assembly point: Corner of Factory Road & Parliament Drive. RIGHT onto Queen Elizabeth Hwy. RIGHT onto Independence Ave. LEFT onto Redcliffe St. RIGHT onto Thames St. RIGHT onto High St. LEFT onto Independence Ave.

Now, this truck and Troupe was travelling from EAST to WEST OVER/DOWN Queen Elizabeth Highway.

How is that? Was this truck and Troupe in its correct place?

I KNOW FOR A FACT that the police had BLOCKED THE ROAD (Queen Elizabeth Highway) at the intersection that leads into the Old Holberton Hospital on the left and to the Emergency Vehicles base on the right, if one was travelling from East to West off Factory Road (by the abandoned gas station).

I had attempted to come over the hill (Queen Elizabeth Highway) travelling from East to West on Factory Road at approximately 1:45pm AND THE ROAD WAS ALREADY BLOCKED. I had to turn around and get on American Road………

HOW DID THIS TRUCK GET TO BE COMING DOWN QUEEN ELIZABETH HIGHWAY?

Obviously, if we look back at the route it says “Assembly point: Corner of Factory Road & Parliament Drive. RIGHT onto Queen Elizabeth Hwy”.

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT TRUCKS SHOULD HAVE APPROACHED THE INTERSECTION TRAVELLING FROM NORTH TO SOUTH ON PARLIAMENT DRIVE.

Who will be held accountable? Thank God that a greater tragedy was averted.

A friend of mine spoke to a visitor (mas player) who was damaged (her lips were split in about 3 places) and he advised her to go to the hospital so that a medical record could be created if she intends to sue ‘somebody’.

People could have been killed and for what reason?

We have reached a point in this country, ‘long garling time ago’ where some people just do as they like.

I hope people sue ‘somebody’ and in my opinion, the police and/or the Festival Commissions should hold somebody accountable.

We shall see but I am not holding my breath.
