A woman whose car was targeted in a theft caught on video has issued a stark warning, saying she may be forced to seek justice “another way” if authorities fail to act.
Footage circulating online appears to show a group of young men removing the rear bumper from a parked Toyota Allion before fleeing the scene. The car’s owner, who works night shifts, said she believes she was deliberately targeted.
“It seems I have become a target for these young men who take pleasure in reaping what they did not sow,” she said in a statement. “I work hard at nights and take disrespect just to buy what I have. My Allion bumper that y’all take—I hope it wrapped around y’all tripe.”
The woman, who has not been publicly identified, added: “If I can’t get justice one way, it go happen another.”
The video has sparked outrage on social media, with many users calling for swift action from law enforcement. Police have not confirmed whether a formal report has been filed but are expected to review the footage as part of any investigation.
Residents are being urged to assist with any information that could lead to the identification of the suspects.
