A local business owner has raised alarm over repeated threatening encounters with a young man who has been causing fear in the area.
She said the latest incident occurred when he entered her shop pretending to make a purchase, then walked out without paying. When challenged, he allegedly acted in a menacing manner, speaking to himself in what witnesses described as a threatening way.
According to the owner, the man has a history of entering her store to beg, demand goods on credit, or behave aggressively. He has reportedly been seen carrying weapons such as a knife and cutlass and often refuses to remove his hoodie and mask when asked.
The woman, who is often alone at the business, described the encounters as frightening and urged fellow operators to stay vigilant. She added that the man’s father had previously contacted authorities after threats of violence, but despite this, the individual continues to move freely.
Residents are being urged to report any encounters to the police. While the owner hopes the man gets professional help, she stressed that community safety must remain the priority.
