Prime Minister Gaston Browne has invited Opposition Leader Jamale Pringle to join Antigua and Barbuda’s delegation to the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Brazil.
During Thursday’s parliamentary sitting, Browne said, “I would be happy to have the Leader of the Opposition accompany the delegation to Brazil for COP30.”
The Prime Minister made the comment while discussing Antigua and Barbuda’s ongoing participation in global climate talks and efforts to secure greater climate financing and resilience support for small island developing states.
COP30 will be held in Belém, Brazil, and will focus on advancing the global response to climate change, including adaptation, loss and damage funding, and emission reduction targets.

It’s a set up to be embarrassed by Gaston as he publicly pressure the opposition leader who may capitulate in the publics eye to get validation, and we must conclude that this climate thing is a hoax been monetized by Gaston and other international bodies, and I will say why I agree with trump assertions, do you know the amount of bombs exploding dangerous gas into the atmosphere by the seconds daily ? be it in Ukraine or Palestine, and there is no warning whatsoever about it damaging the environment, but there is complains about a cows fart emitting methane gas into the atmosphere, so a cow that is beneficial to human survival in this climate hoax should be eliminated and not the bombs. and on the other hand Gaston himself authorized white investors to bulldoze mangroves and fill swamp lands for a few rich white elites to play golf in Barbuda PLH land grab and YEDA and it’s not viewed as an environmental damage.
To me it’s a gravy train been monetized, and like a child crying for a candy all government technocrats is armed to go out on the world stage and perfunctorily cry about the environment if it will bring in monies and am sure some of them benefited, because these are not funds place in the consolidated funds instead they are placed in offshore bank account and supervised by the prime minister himself, that’s how he accumulate power over all ministers and civil servants, it’s a state capture why you see even opposition members defecting to go where the money is.
The opposition should not engage in such foolish facade, even though they will criticize you academically you don’t need to get validation by participating in their climate scheme that the government is not genuine about protecting.
Gaston give the country an independent investigation. Nobody want nothing to do with climate change because many leaders have destroyed the environment.
