Antigua Plans School Upgrades with CDB Loan

Prime Minister Gaston Browne says Antigua and Barbuda will carry out major upgrades to its school facilities with support from a Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) loan.

Speaking on Point FM, Browne said the government is investing in the expansion and renovation of the nation’s schools, including Grammar School, Ottos Comprehensive and PARES Secondary. He noted that while remedial work is under way for the start of the new term, the larger construction and maintenance projects will be financed through the CDB facility.

The Prime Minister said the improvements are part of a wider effort to keep the country’s school plant in “pristine condition” and to expand capacity for future generations.
